The ISAGA Outstanding Paper Award |
The ISAGA Outstanding Paper Award is one of the good traditions of ISAGA.
The underlying idea of this award is formulated as follows:
|
ISAGA would like to recognize those papers it feels possess special merit. To be considered
meritorious the paper should exhibit creativity through its generation of a new approach to a
classical problem or issue or attempting to address problems or issues overlooked by the
field in the past and/or make a major correction to a past research stream or teaching practice
using simulations and games or set the field's current research stream or teaching practice
on a potentially more productive path.
A paper, to be considered "Outstanding", must meet at least one of the following criteria:
a. Evidence creativity through its generation of a new approach to a classical problem or issue
or attempting to address problems or issues overlooked by the field in the past.
b. Make a major correction to a past research stream or teaching practice using simulations
and games or set the field's current research stream or teaching practice on a potentially
more productive path.
|
|
The procedure for assessing the papers is as follows:
- The full papers that have been submitted before June 6, 2007 will be read by the organizing committee and the editors of the proceedings.
They select five papers that meet the general criteria stated above.
- These five nominated papers will be sent to the Outstanding Paper Committee (OPC) of ISAGA. All personal identification will be removed from these papers before they are sent to the OPC.
- The members of the OPC will review the five papers and select the 2007 Outstanding paper. At the last day of the conference the OPC will anounce which paper is considered as the Oustanding Paper of Isaga2007.
